Students Attend Annual Walker EDGE Internship Fair

Walk EDGE Internship Fair

Students from the George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology met face to face with recruiters seeking interns for the spring and summer at the annual Walker EDGE Internship Fair, co-hosted by the Walker School of Business & Technology and Career Planning & Development Center. Over 60 students, faculty and staff attended the event. 

The event attracted 77 percent more employers this year, ranging from Fortune 500 to tech startups, representing a variety of industries.

Employers attending included: Alliance Credit Union, American Family Insurance, Anders CPAs + Advisors, Anheuser-Busch Employees' Credit Union, Beckwood Press, Cass Information Systems, Inc., College Bound, Edward Jones Investments, Enterprise Holdings, Executive Financial Group, KForce - Finance and Accounting, Landis+Gyr, LashBack, Less Annoying CRM, Liberty Mutual Insurance, Midland States Bank, Northwestern Mutual, Olin Corporation, OneSpace, Ronald McDonald House, State Farm, TD Ameritrade, Waterway Carwash.

"I loved hearing about the prepared and eager students connecting with the various organizations," said Trezette Dixon, assistant director, Employer Relations, Career Planning & Development Center. "This event not only provides a recruiting opportunity for our students but also a lesson in professional and career development, which is a valuable part of the academic process."
