Webster Staff Alliance Awards 7 Extended Campus Travel Scholarships

Webster Staff Alliance (WSA) is pleased to announce the Webster Staff Alliance Scholarship Award Recipients for 2019.

The award is designed to bring domestic extended site staff members to the home campus in Webster Groves, to participate in either the Embracing Diversity and Inclusion: Elevating the Conversation (Feb. 26-28, 2019) or WSA Professional Development Day (March 13, 2019). Be sure to say hello if you see them around the halls at main campus!

The objective of the Scholarship Award is to provide extended campus staff members with an opportunity to connect and engage with the home campus and home campus personnel while participating in a professional development opportunity.

2019 scholarship recipients:

Brittney Oliver, Recruitment Coordinator, Columbia Metro Campus, South Carolina
Brittney Oliver is the Recruitment Coordinator of the Columbia Metro campus location in South Carolina. She has been with Webster University for a little over a year. Brittney is looking forward to learn from exceptional individuals, experience the beauty of St. Louis and meet some of her colleagues at main campus.

We look forward to welcoming Brittney to St. Louis, on her first visit to main campus. Brittney will be attending the Diversity and Inclusion Conference, Feb. 26-28.

Jacquetta Green, Representative, Columbia Metro Campus, South Carolina
Jacquetta Green is Representative for the Columbia Metro campus location in South Carolina. She has been a staff member at Webster University for approximately 7 years. By attending the conference, Jacquetta hopes to learn new ways to promote diversity at her campus. She loves working with students and offering ways to make their time at Webster a little easier by providing good customer service.

She is looking forward to the opportunity of networking with colleagues, and strengthen her skills as a student services team member. Jacquetta will be attending the Diversity and Inclusion Conference, Feb. 26-28. 

Karla Stanback, Representative, Luke Airforce Base Campus, Arizona
Karla Stanback is the representative of the Luke Airforce Base campus location in Arizona. She has held her current position for close to a year and was originally hired back in 2013. Karla enjoys working with a diverse student population consisting of active duty, retired military, veteran and civilian students. She is looking forward to visiting the main campus to meet colleagues in person and learn more about University operations overall. Karla will be attending the Diversity and Inclusion Conference, Feb. 26-28.

Lisa Maier, Academic Advisor, Naval Air Station Campus, Jacksonville
Lisa Maier is the Academic Advisor of the NAS campus location in Jacksonville, Florida. She has been in her current role for over a year but has served Webster in various capacities for over 25 years. Professional development is important to Lisa and she is excited to attend the conference. Attending the event will give her the opportunity to meet presenters as well as network with attendees from other campuses. Lisa will participate in the WSA Professional Development Day on March 13.

Mark Meadows, Director, Ocala Campus
Mark Meadows is the director of the Ocala campus location in Florida. He began his journey with Webster over 14 years ago and has served in different roles such as student, manager, adjunct instructor and current role of Director. Mark is looking forward to meeting and sharing best practices with staff members to help support positive recruitment and retention practices. Mark will participate in the WSA Professional Development Day on March 13.

Sandra Jenkins, Director, Fort Stewart Campus, Georgia
Sandra Jenkins is the director of the Fort Stewart campus location in Georgia. She has been with Webster for over four years. Sandra is looking forward to networking with others to “gather best practices and brainstorm solutions to obstacles faced around the network”. Attending the conference will give Sandra the opportunity to become more proficient in her job duties so that she can support student services.  Sandra will participate in the WSA Professional Development Day on March 13.

Schronie Allen, Recruitment Coordinator, Melbourne Campus
Schronie Allen is the Recruitment Coordinator for the Melbourne campus location in Florida. She has been with Webster for over 10 years and this will be her first time to St. Louis. Schronie is looking forward to attending the conference so that she can improve her skills and increase proficiencies in her job. She would like to participate in interactive workshops and sessions to share training tips and best practices with participants.  We look forward to welcoming Schronie to St. Louis, on her first visit to main campus. Schronie will participate in the WSA Professional Development Day on March 13.
