Webster University was named to the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Transfer Honor Roll for the ninth consecutive year, recognizing the support and services offered to students who transfer from a community college into a four-year program. Webster is one of five institutions in Missouri honored by PTK, an organization focused on the academic achievements of transfer students.

Inclusion on the PTK Transfer Honor Roll is based on 40 key measurements related to the support and success of transfer students, including college cost and financial aid, campus life, admission practices, and bachelor’s degree completion. The measurements were compiled using data provided by the National Student Clearinghouse and data submitted through PTK Connect, PTK’s online tool to help students find their best-fit colleges and career pathways. The Honor Roll recognizes the top 25% highest-rated colleges. This year, 251 institutions were included. The list was made public last week.

“The number of students transferring from community colleges to four-year institutions has had tremendous growth in the past decade, with a nearly 5% increase just from 2023 to 2024,” said Vice President of Enrollment Management Lisa Blazer. “Webster recognized this trend many years ago and has made significant improvements to help make the transition into a traditional program easier. At Webster, transfer students receive generous credit for their college work, have multiple avenues of support available to help them keep on track and moving toward their educational goals, and are offered many opportunities to network with future employers throughout the region.”
