The Webster University Center for Innovation & Professional Development advances, promotes, coordinates and supports a wide range of collaborative projects, programs and partnerships in public and private sectors. Students and alumni can choose from a variety of career training programs, some of the most popular being cybersecurity, medical billing, and project management. Many courses are online and qualify for Webster’s Military Scholarship Program.

Joe RobertsJoe Roberts, PhD, is a professor in the George Herbert Walker School of Business & Technology and the director of the Center for Innovation & Professional Development. When asked how obtaining a certificate through the CIPD could benefit alumni, he went on to say, “In addition to receiving an undergraduate or graduate degree from Webster, obtaining industry credentials and or upskilling supports our alumni.

"In the past, our alumni and students collectively have had to go outside of Webster to receive industry credentials. The creation of the Center allows us to bring them back to Webster for these programs and credentials that can help them advance in their careers or make a positive career change.”
