Celebrating Uzbekistan's 30th Independence Day

The following message was distributed to members of the Webster University community in Uzbekistan on occasion of the country's 30th Independence Day, which was celebrated as a five-day holiday to mark this anniversary.

To our community members in Uzbekistan,

From campuses on four continents around the world, our entire Webster University community congratulates you and joins you in celebrating Uzbekistan’s 30th Independence Day.

It was only a few years ago that Webster University and the Republic of Uzbekistan announced a Memorandum of Understanding to explore long-term partnerships within this historic and growing nation. Since that moment in 2017, we have witnessed remarkable growth and enthusiastic response to the educational opportunities that we have developed together. We have seen our students and graduates in Uzbekistan become leaders and innovators.

Throughout our global campus network, our community of students, faculty and staff call more than 150 nations home, and all of us have been enriched by Uzbekistan joining this network and creating Webster’s first location in Central Asia.

Moving forward, the future for Uzbekistan is bright, and Webster is proud to be a part of that promise.

To all of you individually, we wish you a happy holiday, and time to celebrate this momentous occasion with your families and friends.

Yours in partnership,

Elizabeth (Beth) J. Stroble
