The Student Affairs Division announces the 2022 Student Life Hall of Fame class:

Ted HoefTed Hoef - Hoef joined Webster University in 1992 as the first director of the new University Center, after 11 years working in student affairs at Texas A&M, Stanford, and the University of Illinois at Chicago. After being promoted to assistant dean, he also coordinated New Student Orientation and oversaw Student Activities. Hoef was appointed dean of students in 1995, overseeing all of Student Life. He retired from Webster in December 2017, as associate vice president for Student Affairs and dean of students. During his tenure, Hoef significantly increased the residential population on campus, developed new retention initiatives and led the effort to create the Global Student Leadership Summit.

As the University's longest-serving dean of students, Hoef said Webster meant a great deal him. He said he grew as a leader, developing a more global, innovative mindset, collaborating with faculty, and promoting diversity and inclusion. His 25 years at Webster gave him the opportunity to work with a great team of staff professionals, and hundreds of talented student leaders who are making a difference in the world today as a result of the skills they gained through their campus involvement.

In his retirement, Hoef enjoys golf, traveling internationally with his wife, reading, and continuing to learn and grow.
