Campbell-Albert and Lynch Release Book Collaboration
Webster University Conservatory of Theatre Arts Adjunct Associate Professor Lisa Campbell- Albert and Professor Emeritus Bill Lynch have co-authored “The Moment Before the Music Begins: A T.E.A.M. Approach to Song Study,” which has been published by Histria Books and will be released Sept. 13.
The book draws on the two professors’ multiple collaborations as instructors in the Sargent Conservatory and investigates something they noticed over their many years working together: they were always drawn to similar artists. In trying to find the answer as to why, the co-authors determine that a singer’s reason for singing holds the real magic. They then provide a road map for singers to identify and utilize their own personal reasons for singing any song.
