Webster Ghana Brings 'Wakanda Forever' to Accra

Webster University Ghana hosted a private screening of the much-anticipated, newly released “Black Panther” sequel, “Wakanda Forever,” at the Silverbird Cinemas in Accra, Ghana. The screening was attended by both prospective and current students, faculty, staff, and invited guests. 

Wakanda Forever in GhanaThe screening also provided an opportunity for the University’s Media Studies students to connect with African culture and heroism. All current students, staff, and faculty wore African-inspired outfits in honor of the film and in celebration of local design and culture.

“Our students are active learners and are fully engaged in powerful discussions on what the future of Africa might be,” said Webster Ghana Marketing and Communications Specialist Matthew Denutsui as he addressed attendees. “'Wakanda Forever' gives us a vision of the future for Africa and the next generation – our global leaders of tomorrow.’’

The screening featured a Wakanda-themed photo booth, and information on Webster Ghana’s students, programs, and offerings. 

Currently, Webster Ghana students represent 31 nationalities with 19 originating from diverse African countries.
