Shostak On the Trump and Biden Trials

Professor Shostak talks with a KMOV anchor

Visiting Professor Grant Shostak (Legal Studies) was interviewed live on FOX LIVE NOW, a national live streaming news service operated by the FOX network, on May 28 about the legalities involved in the closing arguments and jury deliberations in the Trump criminal trial.

He was interviewed again on May 30 on the same program about requests the jury made to have parts of the transcript read back.

In addition, Shostak was interviewed on KMOV during the 6:30 p.m. newscast on May 29 to discuss everything the jury has to consider during their deliberations (clip not online). On May 30, Shostak was on KMOV three times after Trump was convicted, on the 5 p.m. news, the 6 p.m. news, and a taped interview that aired at 10 p.m. and several times the next morning (taped interview not online).

Shostak was also interviewed on Live Now Fox on June 6 to discuss the start of the Hunter Biden trail.

Flewellen Discusses the Rotary Scholarship

The St. Louis American had a feature story on local 8th grade student Eric Wallace who won a scholarship to attend Webster University. FOX 2 News covered the same story and quoted Associate Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Vincent Flewellen. Yahoo! News picked up the FOX 2 story and distributed it nationally.

Roberts Discusses Interest Rates and the Economy

Counseling Graduates Featured on WMBF

WMBF News (Myrtle Beach, Florida) ran a story that said 14 students at Webster University earned masters degrees in counseling earlier this month.

Alumna Publishes a Book

The St. Louis Jewish Light had a feature story on Webster alumna Lisa Johnson who, while as a student at Webster immersed herself in the archives at the St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum and translated a number of letters from German into English. She has now published a set of letters from Holocaust survivors into the newly published book “A Letter to My Family: A Journey through Persecution in Nazi Germany, Refuge in Shanghai, and New Life in America.”
