Webster Student Leadership Awards 2024

Webster’s 31st annual Student Leadership Awards Ceremony was held at the beginning of May. This event celebrates the leadership and accomplishments achieved by Webster student organizations, in addition to recognizing individual student leaders and faculty and staff who support student leadership throughout the academic year. 

Among the recipients, Literature Club was recognized as the Student Organization of the Year. This award recognizes a registered student organization for overall efforts to contribute to the University community. Literature Club officers tripled their membership over the course of the year and implement some new exciting programs such as Blind Date with a Book, Open Mic Night and book clubs throughout the year.

Rayna Freidman and Justin McCoy were announced as co-recipients of George Herbert Walker III Prize for Leadership. This is awarded to an undergraduate, graduating senior who has demonstrated the most significant combination of academic achievement and leadership during their student years at Webster University.  

A December 2023 graduate, Freidman was recognized for her dedication and leadership to Webster University her work in Student Government Association, Gleich Honors College and First Year Experience in addition to her academic successes.  

McCoy also graduated in December 2023 and was recognized for his outstanding work in Campus Activities, the University Center and as a member of the Golf Team.

Both Freidman and McCoy are currently pursuing their MBA at Webster.
