Smith Discusses Facebook's New Fact Checking Policy and a Tik Tok Challenge that Lead to an Arrest

School of Communications Instructor Julie Smith was interviewed on KMOX about different online services that help track mentions of a person’s name. (Clip not online). She also was interviewed on KMOX about Facebook’s decision to no longer use professional services to “fact check” posts and instead rely on the users to post accurate information. 

Smith also was interviewed by KPNX Channel 12 in Phoenix, Arizona about a person who sprayed bug killer on a food in a grocery store as part of a “Tik Tok Challenge.” The story also ran on KMSB TV in Tucson.
