Numerous Webster Alumni, Faculty and Staff Nominated for St. Louis Theater Circle Awards

Webster University alumni, faculty and staff dominate the list of nominees for this year’s St. Louis Theater Circle Awards. Close to 20 people with connections to Webster are mentioned in the 34 categories of awards, it was announced this month. 

The awards ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. March 24 in Webster’s own Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts. 

“It’s always thrilling to see so many Webster names on the nominee list each year,” said Gad Guterman, chair of the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts in the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts. “The long list of nominees attests to the talents of our students, faculty and staff, to the superb quality of our programs and to the excellent work done by our professional partners and beloved St. Louis organizations. We are lucky to train students in a city that values the performing arts.”

This year’s nominations include:

Webster Alumni: 

  • Caroline Amos - BFA Acting 2015.
  • Bryce A. Miller - BFA Musical Theatre 2022.
  • Margery Spack - BFA Scenic Design 2003.
  • Peter Spack - BFA Scenic Design 2003.
  • Jayson Heil - BFA Acting 2023.
  • Lize Lewy - BFA Acting 2022.
  • Kylee Loera - BFA Lighting Design 2018.
  • Matthew Cox - BFA Acting 2023.

Current and former faculty and guest directors:

  • Joel Moses  - adjunct instructor, Sargent Conservatory.
  • Amanda Werre  - instructor of Sound Design, Sargent Conservatory. Werre is also an alum. 
  • Dorothy Marshall Englis - professor emerita and current adjunct instructor, Sargent Conservatory.
  • Michele Friedman Siler - adjunct instructor, Sargent Conservatory. Siler is also an alum.
  • Scott C. Neale - former adjunct instructor, Sargent Conservatory.
  • Kari Ely - guest director for Sargent Conservatory.
  • Gary Glasgow - professor of Acting, Sargent Conservatory. Glasgow is also an alum.
  • Will Bonfiglio - adjunct instructor, Sargent Conservatory.
  • Lara Teeter - professor of Musical Theatre, Sargent Conservatory.
  • Amelia Acosta Powell - former adjunct instructor, Sargent Conservatory.
  • Ron Himes - guest director for Sargent Conservatory and former adjunct instructor, Sargent Conservatory.
