The Workforce Recruitment Program (https://wrp.gov/) is a government-wide recruitment and referral program that connects federal employers nationwide with college students and recent grads with disabilities who are eager to prove their abilities in the workplace through summer or permanent jobs. Webster University will participate in the 2015-2015 WRP and we are recruiting eligible candidates.

The goal of the program is to increase the representation of persons with disabilities, especially severe disabilities, in the federal workforce. During the Fall 2015 semester, trained federal recruiters will conduct personal phone interviews with eligible candidates who complete the application process. Candidates represent all majors, and range from college freshmen to graduate students. Information from candidate interviews is compiled in a searchable database that is available to federal Human Resources Specialists, Equal Employment Opportunity Specialists, and other hiring officials in federal agencies.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify candidates must meet all three of the following criteria:

1.       Be a United States citizen.
2.       Be a current, full-time undergraduate or graduate student. Candidates who fall under the following exceptions may still be eligible:
   a.      Taking a reduced course load due to disability.
   b.      Taking a reduced course load due to upcoming graduation.
   c.       Graduated from Webster after April 2014. Candidates who graduated prior to April 2014 are NOT eligible to participate.
3.       Have an intellectual disability, psychiatric disability, or severe physical disability which makes the candidate eligible to obtain a Schedule A letter from a licensed medical professional, a licensed rehab professional, or any federal/state agency or entity that issues or provides disability benefits.

Individuals who meet all three of the above qualifications and are interested in interviewing for inclusion in the 2016 WRP database may register at https://wrp.gov/registerstudent beginning August 24. Once registered and approved, candidates must complete the online application and upload documents, including a resume, college transcript, and Schedule A letter.

Deadlines

The deadline for Webster candidates to register for an account and complete the online application is Wednesday, October 14, 2015. Phone interviews will be conducted by WRP recruiters during late October to mid-November 2015. Candidate information will be loaded into the employment database in December 2015 and will remain active for one year.
