Creativity and Evidence Faculty Learning Community Meets Jan. 25
January 22, 2018

The next meeting of the Creativity and Evidence Learning Community will be held Thursday, Jan. 25, from 3-4 p.m. in the FDC Suite (Library 420). All part-time and full-time faculty and academic partners are invited to join the group’s monthly meetings, which focus on using digital tools to promote creativity while teaching skills such as critical thinking, digital literacy, and effective communication.
At our upcoming meeting, Kristen Anderson, associate professor in History, Politics, and International Relations, will be sharing how she updated an essay assignment to incorporate a digital element that encourages critical thinking and promotes engaged learning. The group will discuss the learning benefits and practical challenges of engaging students with digital tools, and will brainstorm ways that instructors can make updates to their own assignments in order to support student motivation and engagement.
If you’re interested in topics such as evaluating evidence and digital literacy, or if you’re interested in how you might use Adobe tools in your classroom, please consider joining us.
