Recent news coverage of Webster University community members includes:
Larson on 'St. Louis on the Air' about Loretto-Hilton Book
Professor Emeritus Allen Carl Larson will be interviewed on KWMU’s (St. Louis Public Radio) “St. Louis on the Air” program at noon Dec. 3 to discuss his new book “The Sisters Backstage."
The book explores the correspondence between the Sisters of Loretto and hotel magnate Conrad Hilton to convince him to fund most of the cost of building the Webster University Loretto-Hilton Center.
Larson, longtime faculty member in the Webster University Department of Music, will be on the main campus the morning Dec. 3 to discuss the book and sign copies of it.
He will also be at The Grove bookstore in downtown Webster Groves Dec. 7 to repeat that appearance.

Jane Austen Festival in Broadway World
The announcement of the upcoming Jane Austen festival to be held on Webster University's campus was published in Broadway World.
Webster University is partnering with The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis and the Jane Austen Society to host the festival on the main campus in Webster Groves Dec. 6-8.
Featuring a packed activity schedule that includes an incredible roster of Austen scholars, the event will celebrate and illuminate Austen’s writings, as well as the literary, cultural and historical world in which her stories took place. The festival coincides with The Rep’s production of "Pride and Prejudice," which will kick off the festivities on Dec. 6.
CMS Student in National Piano Competition
Jerry Chang, a student in the Community Music School of Webster University, will compete as a Division Finalist in the MTNA(Music Teachers National Association) West Central Division Junior Piano Competition.

Among those Chang thanked in addition to his parents were his teacher Zena Ilyashov, the Community Music School of Webster University, St. Louis Radio Arts Foundation and the G.A. Jr. and Kathryn M. Buder Foundation.
