The residency will provide a dynamic and challenging week of rehearsal for the Webster Dance students cast by Douglas in the fall. "I have enjoyed my time thus far working with the Webster dance students on reconstructing Psalm, choreographed by José Limón in 1967," said Douglas. "We are all committed to creating a community that celebrates the power of the human spirit to rise against adversity. Using all the tools available to us like Zoom, emails, and social distanced in person instruction. We are proving that humanity can overcome even the most challenging obstacles. This is a true testament to the human condition and what can happen when we galvanize the community."
Psalm will be included in Webster University Dance Ensemble’s 2021 concert premiering virtually on May 13. Webster Dance is proud to be a Limón Dance Foundation 75th Anniversary Partner. Please watch our department website and social media for concert ticket information later in the spring.
