Volunteers Needed for Scholarship Competition Feb. 13

The Undergraduate Admissions Office will host Webster's annual competitive scholarships competition virtually on Saturday, Feb. 13, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. CT. This competition is open to students from all over the U.S. who will apply for the opportunity to receive full-tuition through the Chancellor's Scholarship or the Dr. Donald M. Suggs Scholarship.

On average, more than 200 first-year students apply, and this year 64 students will be selected to participate in our virtual competition. The competition includes a panel interview, an online essay submission, and an opportunity to learn more about Webster University student life, study abroad opportunities and more.

This year we have opted to combine our Chancellor’s and Suggs Scholars together in one event for the day. At the conclusion of this event, 10 to 15 students will be selected to receive one of these prestigious awards respective of their specified application. To learn more about these awards, please visit this scholarship information page.

Volunteers Needed

With the sheer volume of students, many faculty and staff volunteers are needed to interview and review essays while department leaders present. This will need to be an "all hands-on deck" experience. Last year, we received assistance from numerous faculty and staff members who thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity. This year, volunteers will assist virtually.

If you would like to volunteer for this event, please fill out our the Scholarship Involvement Form. Involvement from every department is welcomed and appreciated.
