View the School of Communications Students' Internship Poster Presentations

SOC Internship studentsOn Friday, April 30, School of Communications  students presented posters about their internship experiences to over 100 guests via Zoom as part of the Spring Semester Virtual Internship Showcase hosted by the School of Communications Internship Program and Trezette Dixon, director.

Creative posters of each of these 42 students' unique experience can be viewed on the SOC HUB.

Because of the virtual format, it became an international event with representatives from the Student Success Center at our Ghana campus and a guest from Ecuador in attendance.  This spring, the School of Communications Gorlok Interns participated in valuable on-site and remote internships.

The Internship Showcase allowed interns to share their contributions, site observations, and career readiness skill development.  Companies represented included local and national non-profits, Fortune 500 and start-ups.  

Students also shared their experience in the Internship Course taught by Trezette Dixon, director, Internship Program.  In the course students participate in professional development activities including, reflecting on their experiences, building strong LinkedIn profiles, contributing to their career knowledge and network by conducting informational interviews with professionals in their field of study and developing the career readiness skills necessary for a successful career launch.
