Webster Georgia to Host Essay Contest for High School Students

Webster University Georgia has announced an essay contest for 12th-grade high school students and the topic of the contest is "independence.”

The winner will be revealed by invited jury members at an event on July 7, and will receive a prize of 1,000 Georgian Lari. In addition to the prize, the essay will be published on Forbes Georgia’s webpage.

Guidelines

  • Essay topic: Independence
  • Must be written and submitted in English
  • Deadline for submission: June 29
  • Students must attend high school in Georgia

Essays will be reviewed by the following jury members:

  • Tamar Taliashvili - First Deputy Chairperson of the Education and Science Committee, Parliament of Georgia
  • Irakli Baidashvili - First Vice President, American Chamber of Commerce
  • Chris Anderson - U.S. Embassy in Georgia, Cultural Attaché.
  • Mark McCord - USAID Economic Security Program, Georgia, Chief of Party
  • Timothy Blauvelt – Regional Director, American Councils Georgia
  • Giorgi Muchaidze – Executive Director, Atlantic Council of Georgia
  • Nino Kvernadze - Executive Director, Adjara Group.
