The Webster University Department of Music alumni continue to be active in the St. Louis music scene. “We always say that we are the go-to music program in this area, and our alumni live that out,” said Jeffrey Carter, chair of the Department of Music.

A sampling of their local performances and work:

  • Danielle Feinstein (BM ’17) and Freddie Rice (BME ’18) are Young Artists with the Bach Society of Saint Louis.
  • Jake Stergos (BM ’15) performs regularly on upright bass and bass guitar for New Line Theatre. Stergos recently teamed up with Debby Lennon, director of Jazz Singers, and Nic Valdez (BM ’18) for Songs for Nobodies at Max & Louie Productions, and with Carter at Circus Harmony’s underseas adventure Fluente.
  • Also performing in the Circus Harmony production was violinist Ellen Neimeier, a Webster University alumna.
  • Journee Carter (BM ’19) sang the role of the Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors at St. Charles Community College in December. She also performed in January with Winter Opera St. Louis, as well as Randell McGee (BM ’16).
